Visiting A Water Park This Summer :: Some Do's And Don'ts
The weather is reaching the boiling point and the summer vacations are about to begun. We all want to beat the heat and therefore you must have planned a trip to water park with your children by now. Probably you want to take a dip, sit back, relax and let out a sigh or you might want to kick start the summer adventure, visiting the best water parks this country offers, this article is a must read for you. All these water attractions, cooling sprays, waves, and wild rides are great fun, but it’s important to stay safe when you’re visiting a water park.To make things easier, check out our list of do’s and don’ts below.
Do’s
Bring an extra change of clothes. No one wants to ride home cold in a wet bathing suit. So be sure to carry an extra pair of clothing for you.
Put swim diapers on your little ones. Even if your child is potty trained, all the fun and excitement can be distracting! Finding a bathroom at the water parks can take a little longer, add that to trying to get pull off a wet bathing suit and you have an accident waiting to happen. Skip the mess and put on those swim diapers.
Stay Hydrated. Being in Sun and playing in water all day can dehydrate you quickly. So, drink plenty of water before entering the pool. You should avoid taking aerated drinks and artificial sweeteners as they contribute to dehydration. As we know that water in these water park is dirty and can lead to infection. So you are advised to drink plenty of water to flush out those bacteria's.
Wear Sunscreens.Apply a waterproof sunscreen before entering the pool, and reapply it every hour. Water plus sun is the deadliest combo for Skin tanning and can also let harmful UV rays penetrate your skin. The FDA also recommends using a lip balm with SPF 15 or higher while in the sun.
Keep an eye on your kids.You need to know where your kids are at all times at the water park. Even if there is a lifeguard on duty, don’t depend on them. Always watch your children or be in the water with them. Keep younger children and toddlers in shallow pool areas.
Don’ts
Leave your valuables unattended. Spend the money and rent a locker. A lost cell phone or camera is going to cost you a lot more than a locker rental.
Don't run around the pool: Running around the pool is an absolutely unsafe idea. Running on the sidewalks which are slippery can be dangerous as you may fall in the pool, hurting yourself or other people in process. Do not dive in the pool.
Don't Exert yourself: Don't get too tired playing or exert yourself too much. Remember you are on a vacation and are here to relax yourself. So keep taking breaks. Come out of the pool, sit in a shade for 10 minutes and sip some water.
Don't Litter : Do not let your kids throw garbage or litter around the place. Make sure you dispose all the garbage in proper allocated bins.
