Hair Fall :: Onion Juice to Rescue
We all shed some hair daily. But when that shedding is not replaced by growth of new hair we may develop bald patches on the head or widening of the hairline.
Hair loss is very common these days and may involve bald patches, partial baldness or hair thinning. Majorly, hair Loss is due a hereditary condition called alopecia areata.
Various studies on Onion juice has proved its effectiveness in promoting hair growth, alopecia treatment, dandruff, grey hair, itchy scalp and thinning hair.
We also know that our hair are made up of proteins. Onions are very rich in dietary sulfur, a nutritional element our hair need. Keratin which is a building block of our hair is sulfur rich. When onion juice is applied to hair it provides extra sulfur to support strong and thick hair, thus preventing hair loss and promoting hair growth.
Sulfur from onion juice also promotes production of collagen which helps in keeping skin cells healthy, thus preventing hair damage. It is also believed that applying onion juice to hair boosts blood circulation to roots, thus promoting hair growth.
A study in 2009,Bradford University UK discovered that build up of hydrogen peroxide in the hair follicles and scalp cause hair thinning. Now Onions contain catalyses enzymes which neutralize hydrogen peroxide thus reversing hair thinning and also preventing premature greying of hair.
I have tried this treatment myself and on my husband and the results were out standing. Not only our hair fall stopped but also our hair turned shinier and more fuller. The high sulfur content in onion juice enhanced blood circulation in hair follicles and helped in reviving them. The presence of anti-bacterial properties in onion juices helps to kill the germs that causes scalp infection which might lead to hair loss.
Onion also known as allium cepa is very effective in treating all hair related problems.
